Currently the City of New York is attempting to site a 2000 inmate jail on a 25 acre piece of land between the East River and a major railway line.  SSBx has proposed a clean-tech industrial development there that will use barge and rail to take trucks off the streets - cleaning the air; produce jobs; and reduce our contribution to the global climate crisis by using renewable energy.
