Prior to SSBx, Miquela was Senior Planner of Economic Development at the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation - the economic development arm of the Bronx Borough President's office in the Adolfo Carrion, Jr. administration -- where she worked on a variety of sustainable economic and environmental development initiatives.
Miquela received her Masters with Honors in City & Regional Planning from Pratt Institute. She holds a Bachelor of Arts, with Honors, in Planning, Public Policy & Management from the Honors College of the University of Oregon.
